MARTHA'S VINEYARD WATER VIEWS AND SEASCAPES
Click on individual images for details
Water, water everywhere . . . that's the great allure of an island. Ocean views and beaches with big waves and, in stormy weather, crashing surf offer the most dramatic scenes. But there are also bays and inlets, ponds and kettle holes -- all wonderful venues for fishing, swimming, shellfish gathering, and bird watching. The waters around the Vineyard and inland in more secluded spots are a refuge for both wildlife and humans seeking a quiet and beautiful spot to contemplate nature and the vicissitudes of daily life. Islanders love living near water, perhaps even need to be there. On Martha's Vineyard the water views are among the most beautiful anywhere in the world, and we are happy to share them with the many visitors who love and appreciate our island.
